I am an economist from India, now based in Washington, DC. I moved to the United States in 2017 to pursue my Master’s degree in Applied Economics at the University of Maryland, an experience that shaped both my analytical foundation and my commitment to public-oriented economic research.
I am currently a Research Economist at Novogradac & Company LLP, where my work centers on U.S. housing policy, affordable rental markets, and the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. I analyze national and local housing trends, evaluate market competitiveness, and contribute to research that helps inform policymakers, developers, and industry stakeholders.
I have worked with the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, where I focused on macroeconomic forecasting, fiscal analysis, and country-level policy work. My research has included topics such as economic and climate resilience, macro-fiscal risks, and affordable housing.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, practicing yoga, and rock climbing (indoor for now, but hoping to explore outdoor climbing soon). I am passionate about lifelong learning, building meaningful connections, and advancing economic research that strengthens communities and enhances the accuracy of policy impacts.
